Meet Guest Entertainer Diva Agata Sava

An outstanding opera singer and soloist

Ms. Sava earned her Master of Arts degree at the Bromberg Music Academy and since 1991 has studied at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich with Julie Kaufman and Kari Lovaas. She distinguished herself at the 1992 International Singing Competition in Karlsbad. Since 1994, she has been active in Lord Yehudi Menuhin’s “Live Music Now” Project and was awarded a grant for two years’ study by the German Federal Government.

Since 1996, she has performed with the Prague State Opera as a soloist; her roles included Fjodor in Mussorgsky’s “Boris Godunov,” Siebel in Gounod’s “Faust,” Cherubino in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni,” Dorabella in “Cosi fan tutte,” and Orlowsky in Johan Strauss “Die Fledermaus.” In July and August 1997 she undertook a recital tour of Japan and in July of 1998 at the Brno State Opera she sang for the first time the title role in Bizet’s “Carmen.”  Ms. Sava performed with the Chicago Sinfonietta under the direction of maestro Paul Freeman during its fifth European tour. In May 2000 she sang Prokofiev’s “Alexander Nevsky” with the Chicago Sinfonietta in Chicago Symphony Hall. Since 2001 she has sung numerous solo parts with the Polish  Philharmonic Orchestra and, as a soloist, she has appeared on concert stages all over the world. Ms. Sava has demonstrated her versatility in the genres of opera and popular music by recording three CD’s and two DVD’s.  Since 2003 she has proudly served as director of music courses in Poland.
